Lesson 4 · When to choose Wait
Wait means not starting a new round while conditions are unsuitable or unclear. Waiting is a decision, not a failure. Existing positions still need their own management plan.
1 · Price has already moved far

Do not chase a peak or a low because you fear missing the move. Return to structure and your planned entry. The missed move does not justify a larger position.
2 · You cannot describe the market

If you cannot distinguish a trend, range or deep pullback, wait and review lesson 2. Sideway does not always require Wait, but you must understand the range, blue mode and its risk before using it.
3 · Unusual costs or an unstable connection
Spread is the difference between bid and ask; commission and swap can add costs. If costs look unusual, data is stale or the connection is unstable, do not rush into a round.
If a submitted order is uncertain, reconnect and inspect Trade, History and order messages before clicking again. Repeated clicks can create more positions than intended. Contact the broker if the status remains unclear.
Check high-impact USD news
Set the economic calendar to UTC+00:00, select the trading date, then find USD events with a red high-impact symbol in the Impact column. Red result numbers alone do not indicate high impact.
Illustrative calendar example · not live news
Example release 12:30 UTC → no new round from 12:25 UTC
Do not start a new round from 5 minutes before the release. After the release, wait until volatility settles, then reassess structure, entry and risk. There is no fixed number of minutes that makes trading safe.
New York changes between UTC−04:00 (daylight saving) and UTC−05:00 (standard time). Scheduled US releases therefore shift in UTC. Check the actual event date and calendar time. The broker chart clock may use a different offset.

Read the chart and the calendar separately. Convert your local clock from UTC for the event date; do not assume broker time is UTC.
New York · UTC−04:00 / UTC−05:005 · You want to recover losses or avoid missing out

Pause when emotion is driving the decision. Increasing lot changes the amount at risk; it does not correct the original entry reason. Wait for a new setup supported by a plan.
6 · What do you do while waiting?
Name the missing condition: candle close, clearer structure, calmer post-news movement, acceptable costs or a reliable connection. Recheck that specific condition rather than pressing START repeatedly.
If a round is already open, inspect its total size, Equity and risk separately. When the planned exit or a structure change occurs, use STOP to close all and verify execution. Wait is not a reason to abandon open risk.
Practise before opening the answer
1 · News is due at 12:30 UTC and the clock says 12:27 UTC. What should you do?
Show answer and reasoning
Wait. Do not start a new round in the five-minute pre-news window. After release, wait for volatility to settle and reassess.
2 · Must you always Wait in Sideway?
Show answer and reasoning
No. A range has its own mode, but if you cannot identify the range or explain the mode and risk, Wait and learn first.
3 · Your connection drops after an order was sent. Click again immediately?
Show answer and reasoning
No. Check open positions, order messages and History after reconnecting. A duplicate click may create unintended exposure.
4 · You missed a rally and want to increase lot. What is the sounder response?
Show answer and reasoning
Pause and wait for a planned setup. Fear of missing out is not a reason to increase risk.
Your Demo homework
- Collect three Demo examples where you choose Wait.
- For each one, write the missing condition and what would need to change before reassessment.
- Check that any existing round has an exit plan; do not confuse not starting with not managing.

Read the EA F1 + Radar v1.9.9 screen
Earlier images and examples remain historical learning material. This section shows the current v1.9.9 screen and rules.

1. Separate the button from Radar trend
Blue/green/red START and Regime keep the original EA logic. The lower-right Radar trend uses orange/green zone rules, so the two can differ. Normal text follows the second TF: up green, down red, Sideway or waiting blue. Radar does not recolor START.
2. Confirm with three closed candles
Up: a candle closes above the upper orange line, followed by three consecutive closes above the upper green line. Count the breakout candle as candle 1 if it also closes above green. Down is the mirror rule. Reference zones are calculated before the candle being tested. A failed green close resets the consecutive count.
3. Return to Sideway
A confirmed trend persists until a completed candle touches the opposite orange boundary, including its wick. For example, an uptrend touching lower orange becomes Sideway while waiting for three closes to confirm a new direction. A forming candle is not confirmation. Incomplete history shows Waiting.
4. Chart-based TF pairs
M1/M5 · M5/M15 · M15/H1 · H1/H4 · H4/D1 · D1/W1 · W1/MN. The first TF is the chart; the second is the reference TF. Each is classified separately: M1 Sideway with M5 up uses green text.
5. Lumi warnings
Radar advises avoiding green when both TFs are down and the primary TF has a signal; it advises avoiding red when both are up with a primary-TF signal. From 19:00 until before 21:00 Thailand time, an orange warning says “Lumi: No trading now”. Yellow candles indicate timing, not Buy/Sell direction. The warning does not stop the EA automatically.
6. EA Smart Alert
Smart Alert defaults to true; Alert Language offers ไทย / English / ລາວ. The EA checks gold M1/M5 with an M1 signal and BTC M5/M15 with an M5 signal, regardless of chart TF. When directional warning conditions apply and START opposes that trend, Yes/No is required for each START. Yes starts that run; No or closing the dialog starts no run and sends no first order. Matching buttons or blue do not trigger the opposite-direction warning; the time warning still applies.
7. Check Inputs
Smart Alert=false skips this popup. EA warning zones use fixed KZ21 21/0 and KZ8 8/0.30; custom Radar settings can differ. Smart Risk range uses gold M1 and BTC M5. BTC grid spacing may change with the M5 range. Test on demo before live use.
